Sharing our story
To address Equity and Community priorities, Keep Kids Fed At School Program incorporates several key elements:
Universal Access: The program ensures universal accessible to all children and youth, regardless of socio-economic status, ethnicity, or other factors. This commitment to inclusivity promotes equity by providing support to those who need it most.
Community Engagement: Keep Kids Fed At School student nutrition program’s foster community involvement, encouraging residents and businesses to actively participate through volunteering and donations. This engagement helps strengthen community connections and support.
Cultural Sensitivity: To address equity, the program is designed to respect and accommodate the cultural diversity within the community. This includes offering culturally appropriate meals or considering the unique dietary preferences and needs of children and youth.
Collaboration with Local Organizations: Keep Kids Fed At School actively participates in multiple local committees to collaborate on community initiatives and advocate for the Dufferin school student nutrition programs.

Dear Snack Program, thank you for providing us with snacks. It means a lot to us to know that you guys care about the children who don’t have enough food. It’s really nice of to take time out of your day buying the ingredients and making all those snacks for the food cart. It must have been expensive buying all those snacks and ingredients for the whole school. So thank you for taking your time to all of this, all the students appreciate this.
