Kay Cee Counts

What a wonderful end to the year! Members of the Trails Committee and HCIA Leadership went for a very brisk stroll in Kay Cee Gardens on December 16. We lingered long enough to enjoy the incredible effort put forth by the Orangeville Optimist club. If you like Christmas lights – this event should be on your annual calendar.

Trail Counters in Action

Of particular interest to our Trails group was the fact that the Optimists club borrowed one of our Trail counters and placed it near the start of the walkway. Trail counters have proven their value by providing us with data on how many people actually are enjoying the trails in Headwaters.  Thanks to Derek Bennet from the Orangeville Optimists Club for supporting us in this endeavour and sending a note of thanks with a photo of our Trail counter – and the thanks to HCIA posted right beside it!

2013 – 13,000+ visitors to the park this year!
The counts are a great increase when you factor in the poor weather for part of the month, including the park being completely closed for a day due to the ice storm.

2012 – 10,000+ visitors
