Simcoe Food Hub Survey
The Simcoe County Federation of Agriculture (SCFA), along with several partners, is studying the feasibility of a Local Food Distribution Hub to serve Simcoe County and the surrounding region. The ultimate design of Simcoe’s hub is still unknown but it could prove to be a valuable outlet for area producers and buyers and an alternative to the Ontario Food Terminal. The implications for area producers and buyers are multi-faceted so it’s important to stay connected to this study and offer our Region’s input.
We therefore encourage you to take the time to complete the survey that Simcoe is currently conducting. Not only will this help ensure that the voice of Headwaters-area producers and buyers is part of Simcoe’s work but they have also promised to share relevant information with our Distribution Working Group.
