County of Dufferin Strategic Plan
The County of Dufferin is in the early stages of developing its first-ever community strategic plan and they would like your input to help shape the vision and future goals for the organization.
County and local municipal officials and staff have provided input and residents also shared their thoughts and ideas in two recent public meetings. A summary of the highlights from these sessions is available here:

You can also share your thoughts and ideas about Dufferin County’s future via a survey which is available online. Paper copies of the survey are available by calling the County at (519) 941-2816 x 2803.
The input from this process will be used to develop a strategic plan for the County that, once implemented, will help guide the County for the next 5 to 10 years.
Stay informed about this process via the County’s facebook page. Click here to download the Plan’s Press Release or contact Sonya Pritchard, CAO via email or by phone at: (519) 941-2816 x 2502.
Please help give your input to help shape the County’s future direction.
HCIA Citizen Survey
In the Fall of 2008, Headwaters Communities in Action conducted a citizen survey of residents of Dufferin County and the Town of Caledon focused on the issue of community well-being.
The purpose of this survey, and subsequent focus groups, was to solicit input that was used to shape the focus of the Headwaters Community Well-Being Report released in the fall of 2011.
The survey’s two open-ended questions identified what respondents valued most about living in the region and their most pressing concerns for the future.
Close to 70% of the survey respondents were from Dufferin County and their insights offer an important snapshot of our residents’ shared hopes and priorities.
Headwaters Community Well-Being Report
Community well-being results from a complex interplay of social, cultural, economic and environmental factors. It is beyond the scope of any one person, organization or level of government alone.
Strong communities are places where residents interact more often about civic issues, mobilize their talents and honour the unique environmental, social and economic features of where they live.
And, we know that the most creative solutions emerge through collaboration – across sectors and across community boundaries.
The Headwaters Community Well-Being Report was developed to profile what we value most in the Headwaters and to stimulate collective action on issues and opportunities of shared concern. To learn more, click on the Report cover or follow this link.
