Sharing our story

Our project connects children facing adversity in Dufferin County with caring Big Brothers and Big Sisters, providing mentorship to help them build self-confidence, resilience, and a positive outlook on their future. By fostering these supportive relationships, our program improves their emotional, social, and academic well-being.

Our program aligns with the County of Dufferin priority: Community Well-being & Safety

With funding from the County of Dufferin we were able to make a variety of matches. One match in particular between a Big Brother/ Little Brother has been impactful from the beginning. This is what was said about the match.

From the mother of the child: “My child always looks forward to spending time with his Big Brother. Watching him be taught how to ride his bike without training wheels has been incredibly meaningful. The match has been easy to maintain, with no scheduling issues. I wouldn’t want anything to change.”

From the child: “I give my Big Brother a 10 out of 10. He makes me feel happy and good. I hope he can be my Big Brother for a long time.”
