Sharing our grant

The Dufferin Film Festival (DFF), supported by the grant funds, was a vibrant community event dedicated to celebrating Canadian cinema, fostering local talent, and driving tourism to Dufferin County. With over 450 attendees, including many local residents, the festival was well-received and marked by multiple sold-out screenings. As one participant shared, “The festival was a fantastic experience that brought the community together to celebrate art and culture.” Another attendee remarked, “It’s exciting to see an event of this quality right here in Dufferin. It truly feels like a boost to our local arts scene.”

DFF aligns with the County’s strategic priorities by contributing to the local economy through tourism, encouraging community engagement, and promoting cultural and artistic expression. The festival’s programming included workshops, film screenings, and networking events that enriched the local creative community while attracting visitors from outside the region. Through these efforts, DFF has helped to build a stronger, more resilient local economy and foster a sense of cultural pride, aligning with the county’s focus on community and economic development.

Thank you for believing in the DFF team and the vision of further developing the arts, the community and arts tourism.
