2025 Dufferin County Grant Recipient Stories

  • Bethell Hospice Foundation
    With a Community Grant for $3,000, the Hike for Bethell Hospice mobilized over 550 hikers and donors for our annual community run, bringing people together and helping ensure that Dufferin families continue to receive the support and integrated care they deserve.
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dufferin & District
    With a Community Grant of $8,000 we were able to provide more children facing adversity in Dufferin County with supportive Big Brother and Big Sister to guide them toward a more positive future.
  • Caledon Meals On Wheels
    The grant enabled Caledon Meals on Wheels to expand free Seniors Wellness Programs in Dufferin, helping more local older adults stay active, connected and well in their own communities.
  • Dufferin Arts Council
    The Dufferin County Community Grant enabled the Dufferin Arts Council to expand the Arts HUB model, strategize for best expansion steps for year two, build our board and volunteer base, and identify the technical opportunities to connect with other community calendars towards being a more supportive and central Arts HUB.
  • Fiddlehead Care Farm
    With the support of a $7,500 Dufferin County Community Grant, Fiddlehead Care Farm sustained its counselling services in 2025, providing vital mental health support to more than 65 children and families in Dufferin County
  • Headwaters Arts
    The Dufferin County Community Grant provided vital support to Headwaters Arts enabling us to produce an outstanding marketing plan/products, expanding our reach and engagement and supporting Dufferin/Headwaters artists to present a dynamic and profitable 29th Annual Fall Festival Open Juried Art Show & Sale.
  • Headwaters Health Care Centre- TELECHECK
    Set up a Volunteer Management Platform, delivering a centralized volunteer HR system that strengthens onboarding, training compliance, outcome tracking, and scalable volunteer support for TeleCheck’s growing program.
  • Joyful Sound Gospel Choir
    The Dufferin Community Grant enabled the Joyful Sound Gospel Choir to purchase a dedicated sound system, enhancing our presentation and confidence while expanding our ability to provide community-centred, uplifting musical events across Dufferin County.
  • Montgomery Village Public School
    MVPS’s Annual Winter Wonderland Dance brings Dufferin residents together for an equitable, festive community event!
  • Orangeville & District Horticultural Society
    Over 100lbs of Pea Shoots grown and donated to the Orangeville Foodbank
  • Orangeville Community Band
    $1000 spent to purchase a photocopier and provide dedicated secure storage space.
  • Orton Community Association (OCA)

  • Princess Elizabeth Public School
    The Dufferin County Community Grant enabled Princess Elizabeth Public School to significantly expand and modernize its sports and physical activity equipment, supporting inclusive, daily active play for all students.
  • Rotary Club of Orangeville
    We were able to promote our annual Ribfest event resulting in a record attendance of over 22,000 Dufferin residents
  • Rotary Club of Shelburne
    Support of PumpkinFest, a very successful multi-generational community event.
  • Shelburne Agricultural Society
    With our sponsors and this grant, volunteers were again able to organize the annual Shelburne Fall Fair in 2025.
  • Streams Hub
    With support from the 2025 Dufferin County Community Grant, Streams Community Hub was able to keep our doors open and strengthen our scholarship and subsidy support, helping more children and youth across Dufferin County access year-round, low-barrier creative programming in a safe, welcoming space.
  • Theatre Orangeville
    With a community grant for $5000, Theatre Orangeville was able to grow our 2025 Creative Partners on Stage program surpassing our goal of supporting 20 individuals, growing to support over 30 neurodiverse artists both on and off stage.
  • Westminster Orangeville
    Westminster Orangeville used the 2025 Dufferin County Community Grant to relaunch the Saving Thyme video series on making family meals that save significant time and money.
