Sharing our grant story

With a community grant of $600, Shelburne & District Horticultural was able to bring in speakers on the important topics of pollinators and water conservation.

Shelburne & District Horticultural Society’s goals are to encourage interest and improvements in horticulture by promoting conservation and protection of the environment. The society does this through circulation of horticultural information and theory through educational speakers, social media and learning from others. The funds from the DC grant allowed us to bring in speakers on pollinators and water conservation this year. Our meetings are open to anyone that wishes to attend and gives people the opportunity to learn locally without needing to travel larger distances.
