Peel 2041: Regional Official Plan Review and MCR June Update

Region of Peel is undertaking the Peel 2041: Regional Official Plan Review and Municipal Comprehensive Review process. The goal of this policy work is to implement new Regional policy initiatives and plans, guide growth and development within the Region and incorporate new provincial plans and regulations.

On June 25^th, 2020 Regional Council approved staff recommendations to undertake further public consultations on the available draft policies and mapping for various growth-related focus areas. These include transportation, housing, greenlands system, major transit station areas, employment and other policies where conformity gaps have been identified including waste management. In addition, staff will consult on the draft settlement area boundary expansion technical inputs and proposed policy directions. Planned informal public consultation for Fall 2020 will incorporate a variety of virtual engagement techniques.
