National Volunteer Week is April 19-25, 2020

The theme for Volunteer Week 2020 is It’s time to applaud this country’s volunteers!

Thank you to all the volunteers in Dufferin County and Headwaters who  help to make our communities engaged, resilient and supportive. We are eternally grateful for all that you do. Canada’s 12.7 million volunteers are the glue that binds communities and a lifeline for many organizations and people. Without volunteers, where would we be?

This year we encourage you too loudly and proudly applaud volunteers. Please take the opportunity to recognize all the people who contribute to the success of your organization and our community.

Though Volunteer celebration events are cancelled in this time of COVID-19 and physical distancing, there are still plenty of ways to recognize volunteers and celebrate their efforts without gathering in person. Volunteer Canada has offered 10 ways to virtually applaud your volunteers and celebrate National Volunteer Week.
