Jennifer Payne Named Executive Director of Headwaters Communities In Action

The HCIA Leadership Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer Payne as Executive Director of Headwaters Communities In Action, effective April 1, 2020.

Jennifer has over 25 years of experience working with stakeholders to tackle problems with innovative solutions and strategies. She brings a diverse background that includes experience in fundraising, program and project management, strategic planning as well as non-profit volunteering. She is also passionate about environmental causes, local food and farming, community-building, family, and music. Jennifer has her bachelor’s degree in business from the University of New Brunswick, Saint John.

Jennifer Payne succeeds Shirley Boxem who has been the Executive Director of HCIA since 2013. Throughout her tenure, Shirley has built a strong backbone organization, developed meaningful community partnerships and led outstanding community projects from inception through ongoing execution.
