Island Lake Bridge Official Opening: Something to Celebrate

Come Join the Party – Saturday June 22, 2013!

What an achievement!  Come on out and help celebrate the official opening of the Island Lake Boardwalk — connecting the existing north and south shore trails of Island Lake.

Countless hours of volunteer dedication, together with tremendous collaboration between CVCA, the Towns of Mono and Orangeville, the County of Dufferin, the Federal Government; Shell Canada, Brookfield Homes; area service clubs and an incredible number of area residents who donated time and money have made this long-held vision of a connected Island Lake trail a reality!

When:  Saturday June 22nd, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.

Where:  Entrance onto the North Bridge (at the end of the North Trail)

Parking: Orangeville Agricultural Society/Fairgrounds (247090 Side Road 5, Mono, ON)

Back in 2007, trails stakeholders identified the completion of the Island Lake Trail as one of five shared priorities to be completed within 3 to 5 years to begin establishing a connected network of trails and cycling lanes across Headwaters.  The Island Lake trail is viewed by many to be a hub for the region’s trail network!
