Ken Topping

Leadership Council Profile

Ken joins the leadership team of HCIA with extensive leadership and governance experience on boards of quite a varied nature. He is just finishing a six year term on the CWLHIN where he chaired the CEO Compensation and Review Committee and sat on the Audit, Quality and Governance Committees. Responsibilities as chair of the Strategic Planning Committee and heading towards a term as Chair are key responsibilities Ken has with the Dufferin Arts Council. The board of the CWLHIN oversees a budget of close to $900 000 000 and as a director, Ken a shares the financial oversight of PACE Credit Union with a very similar budget. Ken, a retired school administrator, is still active in the local public education system working as a occasional principal substituting for school administrators. Ken has lived Shelburne with his wife Lynn since 1974 where they raised a family of three children and now have five grandchildren. Ken is a Lion and a Mason. A life- long interest in the arts continues as Ken works on many large abstract, acrylic paintings each year. Ken and Lynn enjoy international travel and until recently Ken has travelled thousands of kilometres all over North America on a motorcycle. In a new venture, they both look forward to exploring our lovely Headwaters Region in Ken’s new convertible “Where life gets real!”
