The County of Dufferin and Headwaters Communities in Action are partnering to host the third DC MOVES Forum. We invite the Executive Directors, program leads, or alternates, from human services agencies in Dufferin County to participate and provide input.

The success of DC MOVES is based on the fundamentals of collaboration and feedback from agencies supporting individuals throughout Dufferin County. This meeting will provide an opportunity for the group to discuss priorities established through interactive activities at the previous forum.

This final forum of 2016 will provide an opportunity to acquire information on the poverty strategy underway in Dufferin County, as well as the importance of agency collaboration. A roll-up from the previous forum’s “Speed Dating” exercise will also be reviewed.

ABOUT DC MOVES: It is an initiative to create a local association that will be designed to foster a “Made in Dufferin” agency integration model, and identify innovative and collaborative solutions to issues of shared concern. Working with a collaborative and service systems management mindset, organizations will be able to investigate service integration strategies, create a better sense of agency cohesiveness, enabling better services in our community.

The DC MOVES association will be made up of human services providers, and engage input from the business community and citizens with lived experience. Amongst other goals, the association’s primary objective will be to maximize local agency information, increase training and learning opportunities, share in data collection, and address community needs in efforts to minimize service barriers faced by community members and staff working in such agencies. Solutions and strategies will be determined by the collective.
